Divas' Festa (CB07) COTD Week #1: The Beginning

And just like that, we're back for another month of adorable cuteness. Just like last year, I'll be going through all the reveals as they come out in blog's like this, but it'll be on a weekly basis (Thursday's/Friday's), so you can look forward to that.

Now, lets get on with the first week's reveals.

Chouchou, Arim
[AUTO](RC)[1/Turn] Generation Break 1:[Soul Blast (1)] When your card is put on the bottom of your deck, you may pay the cost. If you do, Counter Charge (1).

And we begin with....this thing. Why does this thing exist? Its awful. Its similar to Clenes in that it gives us a CC1 for a SB, except it doesn't bottom deck itself, which you'd think would be good, but as you can see, Arim is 6k, GB1 and has no other skills. Sure, its not a -1 to CC, but ChouChou doesn't swing big, so that 1k difference will make a difference. Clenes also helps us assure our actual ride target, which is kinda a big deal in this deck.

Stay away from this one.

ChouChou, Nanane
[AUTO](RC)[1/Turn]:When your other rear-guard is put on the bottom of your deck, this unit gets [Power]+3000 until end of turn.

Aaaand its even worse than the previous card, amazing. Here you have a card that shouldn't actually exist because it does nothing. All it does it gain 3K when you bottom deck something, which isn't a bad skill, but it being 1/turn makes it complete garbage. Akina, who's skill is almost identical, isn't 1/turn, so why is this one? Well, because it works on the opponents turn too!!!

Like that actually matters, we already have a G2 that's 11k with resist on the opponent's turn, and we didn't need to do anything to trigger it, plus, it does something strong on our turn. This is just a 12K attacker that you need to work to achieve, its completely garbage.

Chouchou, Baral
[AUTO](VC/RC)[1/Turn]:[Counter Blast (1)] When this unit attacks a vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose one of your rear-guards, return it to your hand, choose one of your opponent's rear-guards, and your opponent returns it to his or her hand.

Okay, this is actually funny. Lets get the obvious out of the way, this is not a good card, not in the slightest (Yet), but its a hilarious skill that can, keyword being -can-, matter in a few circumstances like clearing board against Luard (On old Luard) and anything that needs a field on your turn or at the start of the opponent's turn.

Other than that (And the comical Bermuda mirror's) its quite useless and all you're doing is paying CB1 to return a card to your opponents hand...the opposite of what you should be doing, unless you're on Ange.

I say if you can, grab a few, just for some funny memes.

Trend Leader, Felucca
[AUTO] Generation Break 2:[Counter Blast (2)] When this unit is placed on (RC) or (GC), you may pay the cost. If you do, declare a grade 3 or less, and Soul Charge until a card with that grade is Soul Charge. This unit gets [Power]+10000/[Shield]+10000 for each card Soul Charge until end of turn.

Well, hello there beautiful, what nice....eyes you have :^)

Anyway, card is terribly overcosted for us currently, and is completely random to the point of being inconsistent in either gaining the power/shield or actually not decking out. Its an incredibly memey card, but its not one this clan needs right now. Vita and Citron do love her though, for opp turn calling and intercepting, so there's that.

Other than that, she's a completely generic card, unless we get a deck completely build around her, something we don't need taking up space, at all.

As for the first COTD for BT month, this is really underwhelming.

Chouchou, Melju
[AUTO](RC) Generation Break 1:[Put this unit on the bottom of your deck] When your vanguard with "Chouchou" in its card name attacks, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose one of your rear-guards, it gets [Power]+10000 until end of turn, and draw a card.

And we end the week with....a good card, legit shocking.

This stand is actually a better version of Serah in almost every way, except the fact that its a stand and not a crit. Stand's aren't usually ran in most Bermuda decks because it conflicts with our attack patterns, but perhaps ChouChou is going a different route, only time will tell on that front.

As of now, she's pretty damn decent in how she easily powers something up by 10K and returns to deck, for free. It makes Lirun into a 21K attacker with resist, and combo's nicely with Muritz and Ayana (If you didn't already attack with those units called by them) by pushing them over 21K if its a standard 9K. Can even make Akina into a huge booster. Lots of decently good options.

It also doesn't shuffle, but that's a minor complaint when we have Clenes and Sonia that can help with that. Good card is good.

Alright, and that's a wrap. Shame we only got one good card, but hopefully next week will be more quality.

Also before you swim out (Bad pun, I know), just wanted to let you guys know I've made a Bermuda Triangle Discord Chat: https://discord.gg/E9hkJaF

Its pretty lively, so come check it out if you'd like, and until then, see yall next week.
